About the Role
Under the direction of the Med/Surg Manager, performs assigned administrative staffing coordination and secretarial/clerical duties. Transcribing doctors’ order for inpatients, recording medications in medication book, and preparing charts for new admissions. Responsible for cardiac monitoring of all patients on monitor including rhythm, rate, and alarms.
• High School Diploma, GED, EMT or equivalent work
• Must pass the arrhythmia interpretation/telemetry test identified by the hospital at 84% prior to completion of orientation. Three attempts at successful completion/pass of the identified rhythm recognition course within a 14-day period will be allowed. If the result is that there is no successful completion/pass of this course within the specified time frame and attempts, candidate will not be considered for employment.
• Must possess BLS/CPR Certification.
• Possess basic secretarial skills, basic computer skills, filing and receptionist capabilities.
• Possess basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic understanding of payroll computations, concept of Dept. Allocation of time.
• Must be able to function under stressful conditions.
• CNA License preferred but not required.
