Part Time / PRN

August 10, 2026

About the Role

Comfortable practice opportunity in the beautiful high desert of southern AZ. These small, historic communities are surrounded by mountains, grasslands, riparian areas, and sky islands which provide excellent hiking, hunting, and birdwatching, as well as a vibrant community.

Bisbee is home to our primary, 9-bed ED. This is attached to our main hospital which currently offers 14 medical surgical inpatient beds and basic admitting capabilities. Douglas is a freestanding 9-bed ED, located just 25 minutes from Bisbee, with admitting capabilities through the hospital in Bisbee.
Both are progressive, critical access facilities with Stroke Ready and Pediatric Prepared designations. Telestroke coverage is provided through Mayo clinic. Low to moderate acuity on average but minimal specialty coverage means full-spectrum practice opportunities when high acuity cases arrive.

Practice:
- 12 and 24 hours shifts available
- two provider coverage from 10a-10p (one provider coverage from 10p-10a)
- Average 20-40 patients per 24-hour period
- Collaborative & experienced team of both physicians and APP providers

Compensation:
- 1099 Position
- $205/hr with $25/hr quarterly bonus offered for meeting a set number of shifts agreed upon at time of contract for all ABEM certified / eligible providers.
- $200/hr Senior EM Resident moonlighters with independent licenses
- Hospital owned housing available for traveling provider use in Bisbee and on-call rooms available at both facilities.

Requirements:
- Unincumbered AZ Medical License and DEA
- EM Board Certification or Board Eligible with ATLS Certification
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification
