About the Role
Copper Queen Community Hospital is seeking a skilled On-Site Network Administrator to support and secure the hospital’s IT infrastructure across the hospital and its associated facilities. Reporting to the IT Manager, this position plays a key role in maintaining uninterrupted, high-performance connectivity for all clinical and administrative systems essential to patient care.
Primary responsibilities include managing and troubleshooting all network components, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points. The role also ensures compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations by working closely with the Cybersecurity Specialist to implement strong security protocols, conducting regular audits, and overseeing access controls. The successful candidate will work closely with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and IT staff to support electronic health records and other healthcare systems, while monitoring and optimizing overall network performance.
Candidates must have an associate’s degree in information technology or a combination of relevant education, certifications, and practical training. A minimum of three years in a hands-on network administration role is required, ideally within a healthcare setting. Strong proficiency in routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and wireless technologies is essential. Preferred certifications include CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Microsoft MCSA/MCSE.
