Copper Queen Community Hospital Awards First Brooks Family Nursing Scholarships
On September 14 th, five Cochise College nursing students were granted $1,000 each as Copper Queen Community Hospital honored the Theodore Brooks family’s wishes to support local students in their pursuit of a nursing career. The scholarship was founded by the Brooks children in appreciation of the outstanding care provided to their parents when they were patients at CQCH. The five recipients are: Monica Arrieta, Hereford; Martin Arvizu, Douglas; Diana Chavez, Bisbee; Gemma German and Alicia Montiel, Douglas.
Cochise College Nursing Department hosted a reception and scholarship awards ceremony at the Douglas Campus.
The scholarships will be offered annually. Information on next year’s awards will be made available in early 2008.
